- Students identified through a formal IPRC meeting (require psychological, psychiatric or medical reports and/or speech and language assessments)
- Students in the process of having testing completed
Role of the Special Education Resource Teacher
- Monitor student’s other classes to make sure they are being successful
- Communicate with parents and teachers
- Guide student in understanding their disability
- Help student to advocate for themselves
- Create IEP and communicate information with subject teachers
- Support with pathways, course selection and transitions
