High Performance Athlete (HPA) accommodation is an option for students competing at the provincial, national and/or international level in eligible sports. It is designed to provide high performing student-athletes with timetable support to enable them to attend their regular training and compete during times that would typically conflict with otherwise-regular academic programming. Timelines: The ideal time to apply to our HPA program is before the end of January, contact Guidance for an initial appointment.
HPA 2026 Process:
- Students applying to be considered as an HPA student will submit completed HPA forms and documents to the school by ___February 27th, 2026________________
- Current HPA students will submit the HPA Renewal Application form to their school by __February 27th, 2026_______________
- School staff will verify HPA application by ______March 6th, 2026_________
- Sport is on the eligible sports list
- Minimum 15 hours of training per week
- Regular training and competitions happen during times that would typically conflict with otherwise regular academic programming
- Students and families are informed of application status for HPA by the secondary school
- HPA forms and documents are kept on file at the school
- HPA students are timetabled into designated DSOL courses (subject to change pending update from Continuing Education)
